Taal Inc. & Friends is the brainchild of Varun Venkit in keeping with the motto: Come. Drum. Be One.

He has had the good fortune of sharing stage with a wide range of artists par excellence such as Sivamani, Taufiq Qureshi, Fazal Qureshi, S. Parathasarathy, Amit Kilam, Raghu Dixit, Agnee and this is where some of the best musicians in the country come together to create magic on stage.

The current avatar of Taal Inc. & Friends plays West-African folk music served on a contemporary jazz platter. It is an amalgamation of traditional West African folk songs, afro rhythms, percussive melodies, phat basslines and devastatingly exploratory improv sections. All in all – it is a treat for musician and non-musician alike. It is new, dynamic, inclusive, dancy and whole lot of fun.
